REGISTRATION FOR THE GENERAL CONNECTIONAL BOARD IS REQUIRED FOR ZOOM ADMISSION

The meeting of the General Connectional Board on Friday, September 4, 2020, which will be facilitated by Zoom, can only be attended if you register. Note:

• You do not have to be a member of the General Connectional Board to attend.

• You do not have to be a member of any particular episcopal district to attend.

• You do not have to pay a fee to register. There is no registration fee.

But: You must register online with the CME Church’s Communications and Information Technology (CIT) Department in order to receive the Zoom dial-in information.

The General Connectional Board meeting will begin at 10:00 AM Central Time on September 4th, and is anticipated to last 4-5 hours.

For persons new to Zoom (or still learning), there will be a Zoom “rehearsal” conducted by the CIT Department on Saturday, August 29, at 3 PM Eastern Daylight Time, and Tuesday, September 1st, at 7:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time.

Bishop Bobby R. Best passes

Bishop Bobby R. Best, the 61st Bishop of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, passed Sunday night, August 2, 2020. Bishop Best presided over the Ninth Episcopal District. Funeral arrangements will be announced as soon as available.

Bishop Best was elected bishop in 2014 in Baltimore, Maryland, on the first ballot. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jacqueline Best, a son, Brandon; a daughter, Bridgette; and two grandchildren, Brandon J. Best, Jr., and Cameron J. Best.
