Founders’ Weekend, our Spring Gathering, hosted by our mother church, Trinity CME Church, Reverend Tommie Benjamin, pastor, will be held Friday, April 21 through Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Registration for Founders’ Weekend is $50.00. To register, please go to www.6thDistrictCME.org or click here. Once you are on the Sixth District webpage, you will see the 2022-2023 Conference Year Info. Click on the Founders’ Weekend tab. As always
registration is set up by Regions and Districts. It is important that you register in the correct
Region. It is equally important that you select the correct Presiding Elder for your District.

Registration is $50.00 when paying your Elder directly; $54.57 if you pay through Eventbrite; and there is no cost for children and youth (ages 17 and under).
If you paid $50.00 to your Elder, please remember to select Enter promo code and enter PaidElderFW, and hit APPLY. This is the first step after hitting Get Tickets on the first page. Once a Joint Board Member has confirmed your payment with your Elder, you will receive a Confirmation of Registration via your email.
Hotel Information is provided by the Hotel and Lodging Committee. You are responsible for booking your own hotel reservations. Hotel links are included for the Host Hotels. Click here or on the ‘Hotels and Lodging’ tab below to see the information listed for hotels in the Augusta area.
Currently, there are three Host Hotels identified:
Hyatt House Augusta Downtown, located 1.7 miles from Paine College – Book by April 5, 2023;
Doubletree by Hilton, located 9.6 miles from Paine College – Book by March 30, 2023; and
Partridge Inn Augusta, located 1.6 miles from Miles College – Book by March 21, 2023.
For your information and use, additional hotels are listed.
Notification of your intent to attend the various activities is required upon registration. This is critically important as we prepare for transportation to and from the gravesite of Bishop Williams, as well as to obtain appropriate counts for the One in the Spirit Banquet. You must have a Banquet ticket to be admitted into the banquet hall.
If you are registering for the worship service and intend to attend virtually, your email address can only be used for one person only. If you use your email address for a second person, the first user is canceled out. Each registrant must have an individual email address.
There are cutoff dates for the Headquarter Hotels registration, the One In The Spirit Banquet, and the transport to the gravesite. Please register OR RSVP early!!!

to see your Pastor or Presiding Elder to obtain your ticket. No one will be
admitted without a ticket.
Historic Pilgrimage & Memorial Observance registration closes is Wednesday, March 29, 2023:
Caravan to the gravesite of Bishop Robert S. Williams, where Bishop Thomas L. Brown, Sr. will mark the site with a Memorial Monument. The caravan continues to CME historical sites in the city of Augusta. Reservations are required for a seat on the bus/van. On the website, within the Founders’ Weekend section, click on the ‘Caravan’ tab to reserve your seat for the journey!
