Dear CME Family,

On this Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. EST, join the Facebook Live interview as Dr. Skip Mason hosts a special Women's History Month event,"CME Women who served in the Divine Nine Leadership." The Divine Nine consist of the nine African American Greek Letter fraternities and sororities. We will remember and honor four outstanding women in the CME Church who served their respective sorority. They include:

Mrs. Maude Brown Porter (1895-1960), 7th Supreme Basileus of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (1931-1933) Educator and first African American woman officer of the Louisville Council of Church Women. Member of Brown Chapel CME Church in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Yvonne Kennedy (1945-2012), 19th President, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (1988-1992). President of Bishop State College. Alabama State Representative and member of Stewart Memorial CME Church in Mobile, Alabama.

Mrs. Evelyn Hawkins Hood, 14th International Grand Basileus Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc . Retired Atlanta Public School Educator and member of West Mitchell Street CME Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mrs. Evelyn Brown, First Anti-Basileus and Creator, Stork Nest Project for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and member of Butler Street CME Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, Homegoing services for the late Reverend Estella Green, retired Preacher of the Sixth Episcopal District, Central Georgia Region, have been scheduled as follows:

Saturday, March 13, 2021 12:00PM Homegoing Service – PRIVATE Ushers Temple CME Church Rev. Raymond F. Hampton, Family

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only the family and worship program participants are invited to attend this service. The family welcomes persons to caravan from Ushers Temple to Willow Lake Cemetery, where appropriate social distancing and masks are required. Additionally in light of COVID-19, the family is requesting no visitations or food drop-offs at the home. Condolences may be mailed to Reverend Dr. Robert Green, 110 Carolyn Court, Fort Valley, GA 31030.
