WEST TENNESSEE REGION GIVES $100 GIFT CERTIFICATES TO 100 VETERANS

Memphis, TN – Bishop Henry M. Williamson, Sr. and West Tennessee Region of the First Episcopal District of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church (CME) will honor Veterans of the Memphis area with a Thanksgiving $100 Gift Card.

On Wednesday, November 11, 2020 (Veterans Day) the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church will give 100 Veterans a $100 Gift Card from the Memphis Superlo Store, located at 2269 Lamar Avenue, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Store Manager Sherman Guy and Bishop Henry M. Williamson, Sr. will give the cards to Veterans with proper identification and wearing a mask. He will be assisted by Presiding Elder Bethel L. Harris, Jr., Presiding Elder Peris J. Lester, I, Coordinator Reverend Willie Ward Jr., along with Mr. Arthur Shelton, Lay Leader of the West Tennessee Region and Mrs. Doris Fox Boyd.

REQUIREMENTS (you must show at least one of the four of the following ID’s): Tennessee Driver License (Must State: I am a Veteran); VA Medical Card; Retirement Card from a branch of military; Separation Papers from a branch of military (VD-214).

The Christian Methodist Episcopal Sharing Jesus Christ Since 1870; Our Mission: Salvation - Education – Liberation. As Matthew 25:35-40 states, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink…”. If I can help somebody then my living shall not be in vain.

The event is being sponsored by the 60 areas CME Churches of Shelby County under the leadership of Bishop Henry M. Williamson, Sr., of the West Tennessee Region.
